WhatsApp’s New Feature: Stay Ahead of the Game!
Right now, WhatsApp has a cool feature that lets you log in to your account on up to four devices at the same time and keeps them all connected. But there’s another helpful feature on the way that will let you handle multiple accounts on just one device.
No, the idea isn’t to have multiple WhatsApp versions for managing many accounts. Instead, with this update, you’ll be able to easily switch between different accounts while using only one app.
As usual, the WhatsApp feature tracker blog WABetaInfo discovered this feature. Currently, it’s only available on WhatsApp Business, but it will eventually be released on other versions as well.
Based on the screenshot, WhatsApp is introducing a multi-account feature through a menu that allows you to easily switch between accounts whenever you want. Many other popular social apps like Instagram, Discord, and Telegram already have this feature.
When you log into an extra account on your device, it will be stored in your list of accounts until you decide to sign out. This will enable users to separate their personal and professional WhatsApp accounts, even if they only have one device.
It’s not clear yet how WhatsApp will differentiate between notifications from different accounts. Maybe we’ll see a small label indicating the account a message is from, but we’ll have to wait and see for more information.
Multi-account is still in development for WhatsApp Business, so it will be a while before it’s rolled out to everyone.
