iPhone 15 and 15 Plus to Get Huge Camera Upgrades

Between the Pro and non-Pro versions of the iPhone 15 series, Apple intends to add more distinguishing features. But it appears that several improvements, notably those to the camera, will also be made to the less expensive devices.

The primary camera on the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will be the same as that on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, claims analyst Jeff Pu of Haitong International Securities.

It is predicted that the three-stacked sensor in this enhanced 48MP lens would allow it to collect more light and improve image quality. MacRumors was the first to notice this information.

Even though imaging capabilities have improved, there have been complaints about problems in the stacked sensor’s supply chain, according to Pu. Low yields as a consequence of these problems might cause the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus’s manufacture to be delayed.

Customers could consequently have to wait longer. There may also be production delays for the Pro phones, given that the Pro versions are anticipated to include the same sensor.

This possible problem was not addressed in the paper, although it is likely that the two types of iPhones use different lenses that come from separate sources. Furthermore, Apple may save the upgraded video recording functionality for the Pro editions.

It should also be noted that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus won’t have telephoto lenses. We can anticipate the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max to provide higher image quality straight out of the box thanks to the specialized Image Signal Processor (ISP) of the A17 Bionic processor.
