WhatsApp’s Latest Feature: Beta Testing Screen Sharing Feature for Video Calls
On Android smartphones, WhatsApp is releasing a beta test for a new screen-sharing capability as part of an update through the Google Play Beta Program.
A new location for tabs during video conversations at the bottom of the navigation bar goes along with the feature.
In essence, this feature will make it simple for users to screen-share during video calls. Simply press on the icon in the bottom-right corner of your phone to bring up a prompt asking you if you want to record your screen.
Everything on your screen will start to show up on the other person’s screen as soon as you select “Start now.” Do bear in mind that this feature could not function with older Android versions or for lengthy group calls.
Some beta testers now have access to the screen-sharing feature and the new tab arrangement; more users will get it in the upcoming weeks.
